Vonetta graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Science in Child Development in 1998. She also received her Master of Social Work degree from Western Michigan University in 2006. Vonetta has over 10 years of experience working with adults, children and families. She has a unique approach to connecting with clients and motivating change. Vonetta collaborates with clients in defining their problems, and creating a treatment plan to meet their specific needs. Empowering clients allow for a high level of treatment compliance throughout the client's therapeutic process. Her expertise is working with diverse, at-risk populations, specializing in abuse and neglect trauma in children, as well as counseling the offending parent. She has experience in working with people struggling with a broad range of difficulties including; stress, anxiety and panic attacks, marital problems, relationship and communication difficulties, depression, low self-esteem, and parenting.  Vonetta's child development background gives her insight on how to connect with children dealing with childhood disorders such as ADHD, Conduct Disorder (CD), and children who are severely emotionally disturb.

Vonetta is a Christian therapist who enjoys using biblical principles with helping client's overcome and cope with emotional disorders and life struggles.
